Winner of the „Best-of-Biotech“ competition

The Federal Ministry for Digitization and Business Location has selected the best projects of the international business plan competition aws Best of Biotech, where Business partners sponsored a prize of € 37.500 in total. 

Lithos Crop Protect was able to convince the jury, despite very strong competitors, and is happy to make the first place in the category Start Up Track Biotech/Pharma. 

The solemn award ceremony took place on October 23rd at Palais Ferstel in Vienna.

Lithos Crop Protect receives coveted EU funding for innovative projects

The EU promotes 108 innovative projects across Europe with 210 Million euros to accelerate their market access.

Lithos Crop Protect was able to prevail against the strong competitors and gets the funding under the program "Horizon2020" as one of four Austrian companies. 

This is a welcome support for the natural pesticide CornProtect. Now it is possible to manage the authorization process faster and more efficient on EU level and to enter the market for this innovative product more quickly.

Participation ABIM Basel

Lithos will participate again at the yearly ABIM conference in Basel (Switzerland). Virtually all companies and research institutions relevant in the industry of natural plant protection are represented at this largest "Annual Biocontrol Industry Meeting". We expect continued interest in our solutions and therefore potentially new cooperation partners.

Application of CornProtect with Drones

For the first time in Austria, liquid plant protection products were distributed with drones in this field test. Currently, the tank filling is limited with 10 litres. Therefore, the ideal mix in the tank is crucial. The application with drone results in several advantages: Less soil compaction, application even in difficult terrain, and particularly the targeted distribution against the pest, which minimalizes the required quantity.
